Hi, when I ran for the council in Chestermere 2017, I received the worst discrimination, I couldn't undrstand the alienation and marginalization being Muslim or member of minority or my color? But I felt hate, and then I noticed that the local social media page infested with hateful comments, bullying and insult continued till the very end. I gave my best 12 years to serve chestermere. I volunteered, established mini library at my house. I did everything to please or appease local community but I received alienation, hate, disgusted attitude. I survived with my positivty but the people are so unwelcomed and introverted to their culture. It feels like mainstream hardly appreciate diversity and multiculturalism in AB.

I am the President of the African Community Association of Calgary (ACAC). It would be appreciated if I can have the opportunity to speak at the Anti-Racism Public Consultation on July 7. Thank you
