We currently have over 70 volunteer team members across Canada. The ones listed below are ones who have committed to over 50 hours per year and feel comfortable with their information being posted. Oscar Mauricio accessibility specialist Oscar has a diploma in Professional Cooking from SAIT. He has spent his time ever since graduating working in restaurants. He worked at Tastemarket by SAIT and is currently working in Soleil Bistro & Bar in East Village. He loves playing video games and reading. He hopes to one day open a restaurant. |
Megan Eichhorn communications manager Megan is an impassioned advocate for transformative justice, anti-racism and affordable housing. She holds a Bachelor of Communications in Journalism and, since 2012, has worked in communications and marketing roles at poverty reduction and justice-related non-profit organizations. |

Lily Huang artist Lily is a first-generation Chinese-Canadian visual artist and illustrator. Her artistic practice references the history of heritage in technique and materials. Through her artworks, she aims to communicate the intricacies of connection, of people and the world we inhabit, and represents the empowerment and celebration of personhood. |

Teachers
Courtney Walcott EDUCATOR Courtney is now a City Councillor in Calgary and was previously a teacher. Since moving to Calgary in 2006, Courtney has seen many cultural, social, and political shifts throughout the local community that has inspired him to be a more active participant in directing transformative change. Although he is very busy, he has always helped us when needed. |
Jesie Salcedo Educator Jesie is a teacher and writer, who is passionate about anti-racism work and uplifting marginalized voices. Jesie has a Bachelor of Education in English as an Additional Language with a combined degree in Canadian Studies. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, baking goodies, going for runs, and experiencing and sharing food with loved ones. Caitlin Campbel educator Caitlin holds degrees in Child & Youth Studies and Inclusive Education, and is currently teaching kindergarten while completing her Master’s of Education with a focus on teaching for social justice. She is passionate about creating joyful Early Childhood spaces that celebrate diversity and inclusion |
Thomi Olson educator Thomi is an elementary school passionate about learning how to better serve her students through anti-racism work in and outside of the classroom. She also loves watching the Toronto Raptors and tries to stay relevant to her students by watching TikTok videos but refuses to do the dances. |
